HOW TO THROW A FUN BACHELORETTE PARTY

While the guys are entertaining themselves with booze and gambling for their bachelor party, (or at least that's what they assure you) the girls will be busy planning a creative and fun bachelorette party of their own.

But now you've been put in charge of coming up with ideas! It's not as easy as it seems. You have to plan for an event a little bit more exciting than the traditional bridal shower, and yet not as racy a scenario as the guys would conjure up. Here are some ideas to get you started.

1. Remember Your Guest Of Honor
While there will be a lot of guests to entertain, unless the bride-to-be is happy then the whole event is a waste. It helps to know your special guest-is she a wild super villain at heart or is she mild-mannered reporter?

No use becoming Catwoman in a room of Lois Lane's. Some girls aren't that wild, and even the ones that are don't necessarily want a lot of hard liquor, sex and drugs at their bachelorette party. Before planning any raunchy activity, be sure you know the guest of honor as well as her likes and dislikes.





2. Organization Is Key
True, most bachelor parties aren't known for organization; men seem to save all the organization for the office. But putting together a creative bachelorette party has to be about organization. Take care in devising the guest list, the invitations, shopping for party supplies and making reservations. A good organizer doesn't wait until the last minute and if she does, she'll probably have to pay full price.

3. Bring A Theme
Why not introduce a theme to the event, such as a costume party with dress requirements? Have all the girls dress up as celebrities, book characters or cowgirls. If you're staying at home, then decorate the place with the same theme and give the girls something to talk about.

4. Get Moving
That is, if you want to stay in doors for your last night of freedom. Why not make the party mobile and hit a new restaurant or bar that you don't always go out of force of habit? If you're feeling really "wild" why not make the journey a camping trip?





5. Invite All The Right People
Are you leaving anyone out? Have you invited all of the future bride's closest friends and excluded all her past nemesis? Better make sure on this one. When in doubt ask a family member of the bride-to-be, or a friend.

6.Don't Go There, Girlfriend
There's nothing wrong with drinking on your last night of freedom but remember to be responsible-not only looking out for yourself and the bride, but also the other guests.

If you're planning on going as a group is there a designated driver? If there are several people carpooling, is each driver sober and capable of driving safely? A car wreck or an arrest for DUI can really put a bummer on your bachelorette party. When in doubt, just rent a limo or a bus for group transportation. It is a special occasion, after all! This is the last night out! Have fun and do something out of the ordinary when planning the great exit.
